Borzoi Exercise & Activity Needs
Borzoi are bred for sprinting rather than endurance.
Most Borzoi benefit from:
- Daily walks
- Opportunities for safe, enclosed running
- Calm, structured routines
- Secure fencing at home
Because they have a strong prey drive, they may instinctively chase smaller animals. Secure outdoor spaces are essential.
Feeding and Nutrition for a Borzoi
Proper feeding supports healthy growth, joint strength and coat quality.
Key considerations include:
- High-quality large-breed dog food
- Controlled growth during puppyhood

- Consistent feeding routines
As a deep-chested breed, careful feeding practices may help reduce the risk of bloat.
